China’s rapid urbanization, and modernization carefully crafted a childhood for us Gen Z—a childhood that was futuristic, collective, and full of hope. The blue-glass buildings symbolized our beautiful fantasies about the unknown.
We were born at the height of a grand capitalist feast, only to be left behind afterward to pay the price for the future they once imagined.
